Senior Project Script

Over the counter drugs are drugs that can be purchased without a doctor's prescription. OTC drugs are used to treat symptoms of common illnesses, but many teens have been abusing them . More than 2 million teens use OTC drugs to get high, this can cause loss of memory and even death if used in excessive amounts. Parent and pharmacies need to be aware and help to protect our teens.

The effects of OTC drugs for people, especially teens are that it causes danger to their body and affects them mentally. Teens usually use these drugs to get a “high” feeling, without realizing the danger of theses drug. Excessive amounts of OTC drugs cause health issues and also death.

Capstone Topic

My capstone topic is over the counter drugs, its the Effects/ Restrictions on OTC drugs. I chose this topic because it relates to my career and its a major issue i want to put out there. i am interested in this topic because i want to work with medicine and the control it has on our body, and OTC drugs are the number one drugs that affects many of us, especially teens. My goal is to give Teens more information on how dangerous these drugs are and also have a restriction to prevent the causes.
